The Schmidt Program presents the Spring 2025 Outer Space Symposium, featuring space leaders across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, sharing their perspectives on national security challenges in the space domain. On February 10, the featured speaker is Gen. John “Jay” Raymond (ret.), first chief of Space Operations, U.S. Space Force.
As chief, Raymond served as the senior uniformed Space Force officer responsible for the organization, training and equipping of all organic and assigned space forces serving in the United States and overseas. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Chief of Space Operations and other service chiefs function as military advisers to the Secretary of Defense, National Security Council and the President.
The Symposium is open to the Yale community. Please register in advance.
