Description:
International Security Studies will host a presentation by Nick Butler, visiting Professor in the Policy Institute at Kings College London and former Group Vice President for Strategy and Policy at BP. This presentation will be moderated by Paul Kennedy, J. Richardson Dilworth Professor of of History and Global Affairs, founding director of International Security Studies, and Distinguished Fellow of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy.
Following his tenure at BP, Mr. Butler served as senior policy adviser to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. He has written widely on energy and security policy issues and edited the Energy and Power blog for the Financial Times from 2012 to 2020. He is a Trustee of the Hay Literary Festival.
