Workshops

Professors Rosenbluth and Shapiro will run intensive workshops twice a year. In 2020, one will be focused on leadership selection and the other on candidate selection.  We are interested in how and why the selection of leaders and candidates has changed over time in the US, the UK, Germany, and Italy, and what the effects these changes have had on party discipline, the dynamics of electoral competition, and policy outcomes.

Both workshops will run from early afternoon on Friday through lunchtime on Saturday with a dinner on Friday night.  Participants will not be presenting papers, but we would want you to submit a three to five-page memo for circulation to the group no later than a week before each workshop.

Yale will cover your roundtrip economy travel to New Haven and Hotel accommodations.
