Aden Knaap is a Chauncey Fellow at Yale University. 
 
He is a historian and legal scholar. He is currently writing a book, Judging the World: International Courts and the Politics of Global Justice, under contract with Princeton University Press. 
 
Knaap received his PhD in history from Harvard University in 2023 and his law degree from the University of Sydney in 2016. His work has been supported by the Mellon Foundation, the Social Science Research Council, and the American Historical Association, among others. Before coming to Yale, Knaap was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence.
