Aeka Guru (BK ‘25) is a Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology major from Bangalore, India. Her interest in global health stems from her experiences volunteering in free healthcare clinics in rural parts of India. She hopes to reduce socioeconomic and communication barriers to good healthcare and benefit underserved communities through fieldwork and research. She is particularly interested in reproductive health and disability advocacy. On campus, Aeka works as a research assistant at the Yale School of Medicine. She is a part of the Communication and Consent Educator (CCE) program, serves as Vice-President of India at Yale, volunteers in the Education Department of HAVEN Free Clinic, and dances with Yale Rangeela.
