Aiken Wang is a junior in Yale College majoring in global affairs. He is passionate about Indo-Pacific affairs and U.S.-China relations, and hopes to pursue a career in the public service. He currently works as a research assistant for Oriana Skylar Mastro, where he conducts research on the China–DPRK–Russia axis for U.S. government consumers and led the drafting of a set of PRC-focused policy recommendations for the commander of U.S. Africa Command. This past summer, he also worked as a strategic plans and policy intern at HQ U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, where he focused on Southeast Asian affairs.

Previously, he served as a Council on Foreign Relations Blavatnik Intern for Rush Doshi, former National Security Council deputy senior director for China and Taiwan, and has also interned with the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs and for the U.S. National Defense University. On campus, Aiken is the co-founder and co-president of the Yale Dialogue on U.S.–China Relations, an initiative aimed at fostering mutual understanding through academic exchanges with Tsinghua University.
