Arunima Gupta is a policy practitioner and development enthusiast from India with a deep interest in inclusive growth, sustainability, and systems thinking. She recently worked at Bain & Company’s Capability Network, where she led sustainability and ESG projects —developing decarbonization strategies, conducting materiality assessments, and shaping Bain’s intellectual property in this space.

Her commitment to climate and equity extends beyond consulting. As the founder of Flipitt, a sustainable fashion initiative, Arunima upcycled more than 200 kg of textile waste, offered fair-income opportunities to artisans, and built a 3,000+ member community. The venture earned national media recognition and was scaled under the United Nations Millennium Fellowship.

An economics graduate from Hindu College, University of Delhi, Arunima has also contributed to regional skilling platforms at Josh Talks, led Enactus teams impacting 100+ lives in the Delhi NCR region, and co-founded Colleges for Climate Action to mobilize climate advocacy across Indian campuses.

She is especially interested in how public institutions can scale welfare delivery, embed sustainability into governance, and center citizen voices in policy design. Her research explores behavioral public policy and social protection, and she is passionate about bringing qualitative and quantitative methods together to inform better decision-making.

Arunima is currently pursuing a Master in Public Policy at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, where she hopes to deepen her engagement with global development, political economy, and public-sector innovation. Outside of work, she finds joy in exploring different crafts, travel, and board games.
