Christina Dodd is a junior in Grace Hopper College, studying history with a focus on politics, law, and government. Originally from Washington, D.C., she developed an early interest in public institutions and governance, which continues to shape her academic pursuits. Her interests center on American grand strategy, international conflict, and the moral and legal responsibilities of global powers in post-conflict settings. Through internships on Capitol Hill with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the House Appropriations Committee, and the Democratic National Committee, she gained insight into the political processes that shape foreign policy priorities, resource allocation, and legislative oversight. Observing how long-term strategic goals are negotiated within short-term political constraints prompted her interest in the tension between strategic intent and political reality, particularly in the context of international intervention and post-conflict governance. Currently, Christina serves as a research assistant to Professor Paul Kennedy, contributing to his forthcoming book on global economic and geopolitical trends shaping power in the twenty-first century. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and film photography.
