Danielle Ricketts (SY ‘26) was born and raised in Portmore, Jamaica, and is majoring in the history of science, medicine and public health. Danielle hopes to pursue a career aimed at improving the health of the public through structural changes that address the social determinants of health. Upon studying environmental justice in Costa Rica last summer, she has developed a zeal for environmental sustainability and desires to work towards such efforts alongside her career goals. On campus, Danielle is a recruitment coordinator at the Yale Admissions Office, where much of her efforts lie in pouring into programs geared towards diversity and multicultural outreach. She is very involved in Yale Students for Christ, is a Dwight Hall volunteer, as well as a member of the Public Health Coalition and Yale Student Environmental Coalition. In her free time, she can be found enjoying bike rides around campus, laughing with her friends, and grabbing hot chocolate from cafes nearby.
