Dylan Gerstel is a joint degree student at the Jackson School of Global Affairs and the School of Management focused on climate finance and impact investing. After his first year at Yale, Dylan interned with Align Impact, an impact investing advisory firm, where he worked on climate justice and non-extractive financing models. This past summer, Dylan worked at HASI, a climate positive investor, focusing on structured finance transactions for energy efficiency upgrades and community and residential solar portfolios. 

Dylan moved to New Haven after several years as a research associate at the Center of Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. He published reports on topics including wealth inequality, global COVID-19 recovery efforts, and U.S.-China trade war escalation dynamics. Dylan graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College in 2017 with a BA in political science and a minor in statistics. In college, he served as an economic policy intern for Vice President Joe Biden and studied abroad in Budapest, Hungary.
