Dylan Gerstel is a joint MA and MBA candidate at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and the Yale School of Management. Dylan moved to New Haven after several years as a research associate at the Center of Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC. Working with the Center’s Economics Program, he published reports on topics including U.S. innovation policy, economic statecraft and technology controls, and U.S.-China trade war escalation. Before joining CSIS, he worked as an associate at Hamilton Place Strategies developing communications campaigns for various policy issues. Dylan graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College in 2017 with a BA in political science and a minor in statistics. In college, he worked as an economic policy intern for Vice President Joe Biden and studied abroad in Budapest, Hungary.
