Eiichiro Takinami has nine years of experience in research and consulting, supporting corporate clients’ new market entry in Southeast Asia. Before coming to Yale, he worked at the thinktank of Mitsubishi UFJ in Tokyo and Bangkok and at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting. Most recently, from 2018-2022, he started a consulting department at the firm Myanmar Survey Research, serving as the director responsible for sales and project management while hiring and nurturing a team of local consultants. Since 2020, he has been a regular monthly columnist on NNAAsia (KyodoNews) about the market trends in Myanmar. At Jackson, he is studying economic development in emerging or conflicting countries in Asia.

Eiichiro was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and received a Bachelor of Law from Keio University in 2013. He is currently a Rotary Global Grant scholar from Japan (District 2780).
