Faith Duncan is a junior in Saybrook college studying ethics, politics, and economics. She’s from Green River, Wyoming. In summer 2024, she lived and worked with refugees from Myanmar at a school in a remote Thai village, where she studied the civil war, the legal and economic conditions of displaced people, and worked with leaders in the informal education system to better understand sustainable, community-led development. She then founded Yale FOKE, a tutoring and fundraising organization to support this community and build connections between them and Yale students. Last summer, she studied international economics and worked at a forensic accounting and compliance consulting firm in Shanghai to learn more about illicit investment, economic statecraft, and China. She's also interested in analytical philosophy, game theory, and foreign affairs, particularly great power competition. She’s a former opinion editor for the Yale Daily News, a member of the Yale Debate Association and Yale Undergraduate Society of Ethics and briefly played on the Saybrook intramural cornhole team. In her free time, she loves traveling, hiking, John Rawls, and her cat, Uhura.
