Hudson Ozello is a first-year MPP student at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, pursuing studies at the intersection of nonprofit professional consulting services and locally based social enterprises to foster economic growth in developing regions around the world. He is specifically interested in working to support and scale promising social enterprises to increase employment opportunities and raise the level of opportunity for local people.

Hudson has over six years of management consulting experience, leading financial systems implementations for numerous Fortune 100 companies. He has also served in the U.S. Peace Corps, where he supported a government-funded social enterprise working toward poverty alleviation and income generation through the creation of a nationwide eco-friendly and sustainable bamboo industry. Hudson views the niche market of international social enterprise consulting as a unique opportunity to utilize business skillsets to work toward long-term sustainable economic growth in developing areas.

At Jackson, Hudson hopes to explore and evaluate existing nonprofit consulting models currently targeting early-stage social enterprises in developing countries. Additionally, he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of public sector operations including regulatory frameworks, public-private partnerships, and international development strategies.

Hudson holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where he attended as a Glenna R. Joyce Scholar.
