Jonas Nepozitek is an MPP candidate at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs with a background in evidence-based policymaking and data analysis. At Yale, he aims to explore the field of national security.

Before Yale, Jonas worked on reforming the Czech regulatory landscape as an analyst at the Czech Office of the Government. In this role, he helped strengthen the procedures of regulatory impact assessments and drive positive change in the usage of data science and AI-powered tools within the public administration. His biggest project involved creating a large-scale microeconomic simulation of the Czech social benefits system, which helped optimize key parameters of the proposed revision to the state social support.

Previously, Jonas held research/analytical roles at the think tank Czech Priorities, the Czech Ministry of Finance, King’s College London, and the geopolitical advisory organization London Politica. He graduated with a first-class degree in History and Political Economy from King’s College London.
