Leslie Powell is the Associate Director of the Schmidt Program on Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies, and National Power and of the Johnson Center for the Study of American Diplomacy. For nearly two decades, she has worked to advance Yale’s international programming, education, and strategic relationships. She was previously the Associate Director of International Security Studies at the Jackson School, an Associate Director in the Yale Office of International Affairs, and a manager of the Yale World Fellows Program. Early in her career she worked for Eurasia Group and NASA. Leslie has a PhD in political science from Columbia and studied Russian as an undergraduate at Harvard.
