Meenakshi Ambati (TC ’26) is majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology and pursuing a certificate in global health studies. She is passionate about interdisciplinary research, exploring the intersections among immunology, ophthalmology, and public health. Through Yale’s Global Health Studies program, Meenakshi is interested in dismantling barriers that contribute to health inequities and exploring understudied drivers of gender and geographic disparities in global vision outcomes and immunological conditions through scientific research. Currently, as a Hahn Scholar, Meenakshi conducts cutting-edge research into evolutionary immunology and mechanisms of sexually dimorphic allergy at the Yale School of Medicine. She is also passionate about scientific communication and encouraging scientific curiosity and engagement among young students. At Yale, Meenakshi is also editor-in-chief of the Yale Undergraduate Research Journal and a student-researcher with the Yale Corporate Social Impact, promoing corporate sustainability.
