Major Nicholas Dockery is Downing Scholar and an active duty Special Forces Officer. Nick graduated the United States Military Academy in 2011 and served with the 4th Infantry Division as a Light Infantry rifle platoon leader, Company Executive Officer and Security Forces Advisor. As a Special Forces Officer, Nick has served as an advisor on counterterrorism and foreign internal defense in Southwest Asia and Central & South America. Nick served with the 7th Special Forces Group where he commanded both the Group Headquarters and Operational Detachment-Alpha 744. He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Freedom Sentinel, and other operational roles across the globe. In his last assignment, Nick served as the Aide-de-camp for the Commanding General of 1st Special Forces Command, Fort Bragg, NC. Currently, Nick is a student at the Jackson School of Global Affairs at Yale University.
