Praachi is an MPP student focused on social movements, local bureaucracies, and community-led development. Before coming to Yale, she was a Manager at IDinsight, a global non-profit advisory, research, and consulting organization focused on helping global development leaders maximize their social impact using evidence-based research and data tools. During her time at IDinsight, she worked with local and national governments in India to improve socio-economic outcomes through outcomes-based monitoring, and most recently, was working with the Capacity Building Commission of India to track and improve the performance of India's civil service.
At Yale, Praachi is interested in understanding how development policy can center the voices and interests of the "recipients" of development, keeping justice and dignity at the heart of the process. Originally from New Delhi, India, she graduated from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
