Quentin Ding is a junior majoring in history. He’s studying contemporary Chinese and Tibetan history, with particular interest in military and political affairs. He spent his most recent summer in Tennessee, obtaining wildland and urban firefighting certifications, as well as working with the Red Cross and Project Rubicon. At Yale, he is a member of the Naval ROTC and, upon graduation, plans on commissioning in the Marine Corps as an infantry officer. He was born and raised in East Tennessee, where he grew up hiking in the foothills of the Upper Cumberland and worked on campaigns, policy, and events for immigration organizations. He spends his free time with his friends, working with disaster relief efforts, and debating at the Yale Political Union.
