Sherab Dorji is a joint MPP/MEM candidate at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs and the Yale School of the Environment. Raised in Bhutan, she developed a deep interest in the intersection of ecosystem management, climate resilience, and sustainable development. At Yale, her work focuses on strengthening locally led climate adaptation and social entrepreneurship initiatives, drawing on the knowledge and lived experiences of communities in the Global South, while leveraging development and conservation finance to support equitable, community-driven solutions.

Before Yale, Sherab worked as an analyst at Evergreen Economics, where she contributed to projects aimed at expanding access to clean energy and green job opportunities for underserved communities across the U.S. through evidence-based analysis and stakeholder engagement.

At Yale, Sherab is actively engaged in multiple roles, having served as a student ambassador for the Office of Student Affairs at the School of the Environment, a member of the Forestry Club, and a research assistant at the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy. She has also contributed to consulting projects that advance adaptation, sustainable livelihood, and land restoration efforts centered on community priorities, most recently serving as a fellow with the Global Resilience Partnership in collaboration with the UNDP-AFCIA program, where she worked on strengthening community resilience through nature-based solutions and equitable adaptation strategies in Vietnam and Albania. 

Sherab holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from Bucknell University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is fluent in English, Dzongkha, and Hindi, and conversational in Mandarin Chinese.
