Sofia Jacobson (MY ’26, she/her) is a history of science, medicine, and public health major from Westchester, New York. Sofia hopes to work in the public or global health space and is passionate about the intersection between health, the environmental crisis, vaccination policies, and health inequities. She is inspired to continue this through research and proactive community outreach programs to create impact in these fields. Sofia is passionate about research in this field, previously conducting projects on vaccine hesitancy and healthcare’s impact on the environment. Currently, she also conducts data analysis research at the Yale School of Public Health with the Cancer Outcomes, Public Policy, and Effectiveness Research (COPPER) Center. Additionally, she did a fellowship at the World Bank as a climate and health analyst, interned in the community health department with Northwell Health, and at an environmental non-profit. On campus, she loves being a part of the Community Health Educator, Women’s Leadership Initiative, and Pauli Murray College Council. Sofia can also be found on the field with the C2 club soccer team or cooking grilled cheeses in the Pauli Murray buttery.
