Surabhi Kumar (ES ’26) is a molecular, cellular, and developmental biology major from Tallahassee, Florida. She is an aspiring physician who hopes to better understand the intersection between global health and medicine and how to provide long-term solutions to global health disparities in low-income, low-resource countries. Surabhi serves as a senator and the deputy director of health and accessibility for the Yale College Council. She also advocates for high-quality healthcare as a community building and education team leader in Partners in Health Engage at Yale. Off-campus, she is a volunteer EMT at Echo Hose and works in the lab department at HAVEN Free Clinic. Surabhi also conducts research at the Yale School of Medicine in the O’Connor Lab, studying neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). In her free time, Surabhi loves to paint, hike, travel, and hang out with her friends.
