William Barbee is a junior in Silliman College pursuing a major in history. His particular interests lie in the broad developments of American history, including those involving the nation's founding, the turn of the 20th century, and the Cold War. Will comes to Grand Strategy with a background steeped in the arts and humanities, having studied philosophy through the Directed Studies Program, Hudson Institute, and Hertog Foundation, as well as having performed in several works for the stage and screen at Yale. He also approaches his work with a strong devotion to the Christian faith, which provides him with the principles that guide many of his actions. At Yale, he currently serves as the president of the William F. Buckley, Jr. Program, the co-chair of the Episcopal Church at Yale, and a senator on the Yale College Council. He is also a proud member of the Federalist Party of the Yale Political Union. Originally from New York City, Will moved to Washington, D.C., at age 12 and remained there through the end of high school. His family now resides in Houston, Texas.
