Each year, the GHS MAP admits a cohort of Global Health Scholars who fulfill the program requirements and are awarded an official designation on their transcripts upon successful completion of the program. However, all students with an interest in global health, including those not formally admitted into the MAP as a Global Health Scholar, have the ability and are encouraged to pursue coursework and activities in global health studies.
Students typically apply to be a Global Health Scholar in the fall of their sophomore year. On occasion, juniors with compelling interest in the GHS MAP may be considered for admittance into the program.
Students of all majors and interests are encouraged to apply; no former global health experience or coursework is required. We are interested in learning about why you are interested in global health, and what led you to apply to this program.
The online application for the Global Health Scholars program was due November 18, 2019.
Global Health Studies hosted two information sessions for prospective Global Health Scholars:
- Tuesday, November 5, 6:15pm-6:45pm | View the slides from the Nov. 5 Info session
- Thursday, November 7, 6:00pm-8:00pm
